I love this so much. I'm dehydrated from the crying I've done since waking up to this.
Late spring and early summers can be a little unpredictable in Toronto – especially for weddings that have a significant portion of their time outdoors! But that day, that Saturday in early May, for Oi Hua and Derek was absolutely perfect. The Scarborough Bluffs supplied us with spectacular views of Lake Ontario while the grounds at the Guild Inn provided unique elements for portraiture.
The main attraction of course, were the bride and groom themselves. As wedding filmmaker two elements stand out: 1) a spectacular surprise first dance and 2) a speech for the ages.
First dances are special because...it's the first dance. But when the couple takes the time (months!) to up their game, train up like professionals, and absolutely deliver to a room full of their loved ones. That's something else. We loved it so much that we immediately made a teaser you can see here.
Then there was Oi Hua's speech. It's not very often that we are tempted to include entire speeches in our highlights – but this one was that good. You simply have to hear it for yourself.
- We shot a same day edit as well! But since the couple wanted to include music we are unable to license it is not available publicly. If you are interested in seeing this get in touch and request a private link!
- That custom made double happiness sign is available for rent!
